The Times: Who is your most inspirational female role model?

From the article:

Lucy Marcus, CEO and Founder, Marcus Venture Consulting

“As a young girl I found Jo from Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women a real inspiration. She was feisty, independent, hard working, idealistic, impulsive but well intentioned, and unstoppable. As an adult, there is no one person I think of as a role model, but rather I draw inspiration from a collection of women friends, acquaintances, and even those I read about, who are doing interesting and challenging work. Their examples of fortitude, courage, bravery, and integrity in their everyday lives and in the workplace helps me aspire and strive to do things that might otherwise might feel beyond my reach.”

For the other answers from women including Laura Tenison Founder and MD Jojo Maman Bebe, Shirin Dehghan CEO Aeieso, Michelle McDowell Chair Civil and Structural Engineering BDP, Rosleen Blair CEO Alexander Mann Solutions, Alison Nimmo Director of Design and Regeneration Olympic Delivery Committee, and more, view the pdf file on the right.
